Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners
(Disciplinary Proceedings)
(Amendment) Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act 2000, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board, with the approval of the Minister for Health, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  These Regulations are the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and, except for regulation 3, come into operation on 18 September 2023.
(2)  Regulation 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of regulation 10
2.  In the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 226/2020), in regulation 10, replace “Form 67 set out in Appendix A to the Rules of Court (Cap. 322, R 5)” with “the form mentioned in Order 15, Rule 4(1) of the Rules of Court 2021 (G.N. No. S 914/2021)”.
Miscellaneous amendments
3.  In the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations 2020 —
(a)in regulation 2, in the definition of “advocate and solicitor”, replace “section 2 of the Legal Profession Act (Cap. 161)” with “section 2(1) of the Legal Profession Act 1966”;
(b)in regulation 6(b)(i), replace “section 19(1)(a) to (j)” with “section 19(1)(a) to (k)”;
(c)in regulation 6(b)(ii), replace “section 19(1)(k)” with “section 19(1)(l)”;
(d)in regulation 6(b)(ii), replace “(Cap. 174)” with “1997”;
(e)in regulation 10, replace “section 36(2)(db)” with “section 36(2)(f)”; and
(f)in regulation 12(6), replace “(Cap. 97)” with “1893”.
