Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act

Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2008 and shall come into operation on 12th February 2008.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act are amended —
(a)by deleting the item “Gazella dorcas (Tunisia)” in Appendix III under the sub-heading relating to the taxon “Bovidae Antelopes, cattle, duikers, gazelles, goats, sheep, etc.” (page 24) and substituting the item “Gazella dorcas (Algeria, Tunisia)”;
(b)by deleting the item “Cervus elaphus barbarus (Tunisia)” in Appendix III under the sub-heading relating to the taxon “Cervidae Deer, guemals, muntjacs, pudus” (page 26) and substituting the item “Cervus elaphus barbarus (Algeria, Tunisia)”;
(c)by deleting the item “Aonyx capensis congica (Only the populations of Cameroon and Nigeria; all other populations are included in Appendix II)” in Appendix I under the sub-heading relating to the taxon “Lutrinae Otters” (page 29) and substituting the item “Aonyx capensis microdon (Only the populations of Cameroon and Nigeria; all other populations are included in Appendix II)”;
(d)by deleting the sub-heading relating to the taxon “Viverridae Binturong, civets, falanouc, fossa, linsangs, otter-civet, palm civets” (page 30) and substituting the sub-heading “Viverridae Binturong, civets, linsangs, otter-civet, palm civets”;
(e)by deleting the sub-heading relating to the taxon “Peramelidae Bandicoots” and all the items thereunder (page 33) and substituting the following sub-headings and items:
