Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 108 of the Trade Marks Act, the Minister for Law, after consulting with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2007.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. The Third Schedule to the Trade Marks Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “(not of precious metal or coated therewith)” in the item relating to “Class 21” in Part I;

(b)

by deleting the words “; legal services” in the item relating to “Class 42” in Part II; and

(c)

by deleting the item relating to “Class 45” in Part II and substituting the following item:

“

Class 45

Legal services: security services for the protection of property and individuals; personal and social services rendered by others to meet the needs of individuals.

”.
