(Amendment) Order 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(2) of the Tenth Schedule to, read with section 354B(1) of, the Companies Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Companies (Prescribed Companies and Entities) (Amendment) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 28 January 2020.

Amendment of paragraph 5

2. Paragraph 5 of the Companies (Prescribed Companies and Entities) Order 2017 (G.N. No. S 247/2017) is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub‑paragraphs (e) and (f) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(e)	a person that has in force a licence granted or deemed to have been granted under section 6 of the Payment Services Act 2019 (Act 2 of 2019);”; and

(b)

by deleting sub‑paragraphs (r) and (s) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(r)	an operator of a payment system designated under section 42 of the Payment Services Act 2019;”.
