Amusement Rides Safety (Amendment)
Regulations 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 72 of the Amusement Rides Safety Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Amusement Rides Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 February 2018.
Amendment of regulation 16
2.  Regulation 16(4) of the Amusement Rides Safety Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 343/2011) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “each ride” in sub‑paragraph (b), the words “(being not more than the maximum number recommended or specified by the designer or manufacturer of the amusement ride)”.
Deletion and substitution of Sixth Schedule
3.  The Sixth Schedule to the Amusement Rides Safety Regulations 2011 is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

Regulations 9(1) and 14(1)(c)
Fees
1.Application for an installation permit —
 
(a)for a major amusement ride
$1,500.
(b)for any other amusement ride
$500.
2.Application for the issue or renewal of an operating permit for a major amusement ride, for which the maximum number of patrons permitted to be carried on the amusement ride during each ride, as recommended or specified by the designer or manufacturer of the amusement ride, is —
 
(a)12 or more
$1,500.
(b)fewer than 12
$750.
3.Application for the issue or renewal of an operating permit for any other amusement ride
$120.
4.Application for a modification permit —
 
(a)for a major amusement ride
$750.
(b)for any other amusement ride
$250.
