(Prohibition of Sale and Supply)
(Amendment No. 2) Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Medicines (Prohibition of Sale and Supply) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 1 January 2020.
Amendment of paragraph 1
2.  Paragraph 1 of the Medicines (Prohibition of Sale and Supply) Order (O 4) is amended by deleting the words “and Supply” and substituting the words “, Supply and Importation”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
3.  Paragraph 3 of the Medicines (Prohibition of Sale and Supply) Order is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “No person shall sell or supply to any person” in sub‑paragraph (1) and substituting the words “Subject to sub‑paragraph (1A), a person must not sell or supply to any other person”;
(b)by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (1), the following sub‑paragraph:
(1A)  A person must not sell, supply or import any topical antiseptic that contains mercury or any compound of mercury.”; and
(c)by deleting the words “and supply” in the paragraph heading and substituting the words “, supply and importation”.
