Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 2006 and shall come into operation on 15th December 2006.
Amendment of rule 2
2.  Rule 2(1) of the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting the words “paragraph 3 of” in the definition of “road tunnel”.
Amendment of rule 12
3.  Rule 12 (1) of the principal Rules is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “expressway”, the words “specified in Part II of the Second Schedule”.
Deletion and substitution of Second Schedule
4.  The Second Schedule to the principal Rules is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

Rules 2(1), 3 and 12
Part I
Tunnels
That length of the road known as Fort Canning Link which extends from the junction of Armenian Street and Stamford Road in a general north westward direction and goes into a road tunnel known as Fort Canning Tunnel and emerges at an end by joining Penang Road.
Part II
Expressways
1.  That length of the expressway known as the Ayer Rajah Expressway which extends from that part of Keppel Viaduct above Keppel Road, Shenton Way and Rambau Street junction, in a general north westward direction to Tuas Checkpoint Viaduct, at a distance of approximately 27,000 metres.
2.  That length of the expressway known as the Central Expressway which extends from its interchange with Ayer Rajah Expressway at Radin Mas Flyover, in a general northward direction to its interchange with Seletar Expressway at Yio Chu Kang Flyover, including the Chin Swee Tunnel and Kampong Java Tunnel, at a distance of approximately 15,500 metres.
3.  That length of the expressway known as the East Coast Parkway which extends from the western end of Airport Boulevard in a general westerly direction to the part of Keppel Viaduct above Keppel Road, Shenton Way and Rambau Street junction, at a distance of approximately 19,000 metres.
4.  That length of the expressway known as the Pan Island Expressway which extends from its interchange with East Coast Parkway at Changi Flyover in a general westerly direction to its interchange with Ayer Rajah Expressway at Tuas Underpass, at a distance of approximately 42,500 metres.
5.  That length of the expressway known as the Bukit Timah Expressway which extends from its interchange with Pan Island Expressway at Chantek Flyover in a general northward direction to its interchange with Woodlands Centre Road, at a distance of approximately 11,200 metres.
6.  That length of the expressway known as the Kranji Expressway which extends from its interchange with Bukit Timah Expressway at Gali Batu Flyover in a general westerly direction to its interchange with Pan Island Expressway at Tengah Flyover, at a distance of approximately 8,400 metres.
7.  That length of the expressway known as the Tampines Expressway which extends from its interchange with Pan Island Expressway at Upper Changi Flyover in a general north westward direction to its interchange with Seletar Expressway at Seletar Flyover, at a distance of approximately 14,600 metres.
8.  That length of the expressway known as the Seletar Expressway which extends from its interchange with Central Expressway at Yio Chu Kang Flyover in a general north westward direction to its interchange with Bukit Timah Expressway at Woodlands South Flyover, at a distance of approximately 12,000 metres.”.
