Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 111 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2004 and shall come into operation on 5th November 2004.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8) is amended by deleting the definition of “licensee” and substituting the following definition:

“ “licensee” means the holder of a licence and, in Part III only, includes a person who is exempted under section 142 of the Act from the requirement to hold a licence.”.
