Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence)
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Bus Services Industry Act 2015, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 1 January 2017.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. Item 2 of the First Schedule to the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) Regulations 2016 (G.N. No. S 33/2016) is deleted and the following items substituted therefor:

“2.	Class 2 bus service licence for a temporary bus service

For each bus service authorised to operate under the licence during the whole or part of any of the following years:

(a)

2016

$50 for each month (or part of a month)

(b)

2017

$60 for each month (or part of a month)

(c)

2018

$70 for each month (or part of a month).

3.	Class 2 bus service licence for a scheme B bus service

For each bus service authorised to operate under the licence during the whole or part of any of the following years:

(a)

2016

$50 for each month (or part of a month)

(b)

2017

$60 for each month (or part of a month)

(c)

2018

$70 for each month (or part of a month).

4.	Class 2 bus service licence for any other bus service

For each bus service authorised to operate under the licence during the whole or part of any of the following years:

(a)

2016

$600

(b)

2017

$60 for each month (or part of a month) in 2017 or $700, whichever is the lower

(c)

2018

$70 for each month (or part of a month) in 2018 or $800, whichever is the lower.”.

Saving

3. Despite these Regulations, the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) Regulations 2016 continue to apply in relation to any class 2 bus service licence granted upon an application for, or to renew, the licence, that is pending on 31 December 2016, as if these Regulations had not been made.
