(CHAPTER 142)
Insurance (Investment-Linked Life Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2003
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 64 of the Insurance Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Investment-Linked Life Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2004.
Deletion of regulations 2 and 3 and substitution of regulation 2
2.  The Insurance (Investment-Linked Life Insurance) Regulations (Rg 4) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) are amended by deleting regulations 2 and 3 and substituting the following regulation:
Definition
2.  In these Regulations, “fund” means an insurance fund established and maintained under section 17 of the Act for investment-linked policies.”.
Amendment of regulation 5
3.  Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph (1); and
(b)by deleting the word “such” in paragraphs (2) and (3).
Deletion of regulations 7 and 8
4.  Regulations 7 and 8 of the principal Regulations are deleted.
Amendment of regulation 9
5.  Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “investment-linked life insurance policies” wherever they appear in paragraphs (1), (3), (4) and (6) and substituting in each case the words “investment-linked policies”.
Deletion of regulation 14
6.  Regulation 14 of the principal Regulations is deleted.
Miscellaneous amendments
7.  The principal Regulations are amended by deleting the words “investment-linked life insurance policy” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “investment-linked policy”:
Regulations 4, 10, 11(1) and (2), 12(1) and 13.
