Remote Gambling
(Government Technology Agency — Exemption)
Order 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (Government Technology Agency — Exemption) Order 2020 and is deemed to have come into operation on 5 August 2020.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means any draw to be held as part of the promotion at 1 Fusionopolis View, Singapore 138577 at 12 noon on the following dates:

(a)	12 August 2020;
(b)	19 August 2020;
(c)	26 August 2020;
(d)	2 September 2020;

“organiser” means the Government Technology Agency established by section 3 of the Government Technology Agency Act 2016 (Act 23 of 2016);

“promotion” means the promotion called “TraceTogether Weekly Lucky Draw” that is to be made available from 5 August 2020 to 2 September 2020 (both dates inclusive) on the TraceTogether mobile application platform maintained by the organiser;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draws.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
