(137 — Aerial Work)
(Amendment) Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3A of the Air Navigation Act, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Air Navigation (137 — Aerial Work) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 9 October 2018.

Amendment of regulation 45

2. Regulation 45 of the Air Navigation (137 — Aerial Work) Regulations 2018 (G.N. No. S 502/2018) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “a flight simulation training device approved for such purpose in accordance with the Air Navigation Order” in paragraph (1)(a) and substituting the words “an approved flight simulation training device that is representative of that aircraft type or variant”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “in the same type or variant to be used for the flight or in a flight simulation training device approved for such purpose in accordance with the Air Navigation Order” in paragraph (2) and substituting the words “in an aircraft of the same type or variant to be used for the flight, or in an approved flight simulation training device that is representative of that aircraft type or variant”.

Amendment of First Schedule

3. The First Schedule to the Air Navigation (137 — Aerial Work) Regulations 2018 is amended by inserting, immediately after the definition of “Aerial work certificate”, the following definition:

“ “Approved flight simulation training device” means a flight simulation training device which the AWC holder has a specific approval, granted in accordance with paragraph 23A of the Air Navigation Order, to use for the purpose that it is being used for in these Regulations.”.
