(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33(6)(a)(v) and 57 of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 3 October 2014.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3 of the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) Rules (R 5) is amended by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (j) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(k)	rectification or replacement works (to be completed before 1 May 2015) to any float-operated valve with a pilot mechanism in any potable water storage tank on common property, in accordance with any regulations made under the Public Utilities Act (Cap. 261).”.
