International Child Abduction
(Application of Legislation relating to Legal
Aid and Legal Advice)
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 of the International Child Abduction Act, the Minister for Law makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the International Child Abduction (Application of Legislation relating to Legal Aid and Legal Advice) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 16 October 2019.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3 of the International Child Abduction (Application of Legislation relating to Legal Aid and Legal Advice) Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 74/2011) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “to 8” and substituting the words “, 5, 6, 7 and 7A”; and
(b)by deleting the paragraphs (d) and (e) and substituting the following paragraph:
(d)Part IV (except section 23).”.
Deletion of regulation 8
3.  Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is deleted.
Amendment of regulation 12
4.  Regulation 12(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “the disposable capital or the disposable income of the applicant” in sub‑paragraph (a) and substituting the words “whether the applicant satisfies the means criteria for legal aid prescribed in the Legal Aid and Advice Regulations”.
