(International Registration)
(Amendment) Rules 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 54(1) and 108(1) of the Trade Marks Act, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Trade Marks (International Registration) (Amendment) Rules 2021 and come into operation on 1 October 2021.
Amendment of rule 8
2.  Rule 8(5) of the Trade Marks (International Registration) Rules (R 3) is amended by deleting the words “notifiable transaction is entered in the register” in sub‑paragraph (a) and substituting the words “date of the application for the registration of the relevant particulars of the notifiable transaction”.
Saving and transitional provision
3.  Despite rule 2, rule 8(5)(a) of the Trade Marks (International Registration) Rules as in force immediately before 1 October 2021 continues to apply to or in relation to any application made for the registration of the relevant particulars of any notifiable transaction mentioned in rule 8(1)(b) of those Rules.
