Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act
(Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification is the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 28 August 2020.
Amendment of Part 1 of Appendices of Schedule
2.  Part 1 of the Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act is amended by inserting, immediately after taxon I relating to “ASPIDOCHIROTIDA” under the heading “PHYLUM ECHINODERMATA CLASS HOLOTHUROIDEA (SEA CUCUMBERS)”, the following taxon, sub‑heading and items:

3.  Part 2 of the Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act is amended by deleting items 1 to 6 (including the related annotations) in taxon XXXII relating to “MELIACEAE (Mahoganies, West Indian cedar)” under the heading “FLORA (PLANTS)” and substituting the following items and annotations:

(b)seedling or tissue cultures obtained in vitro, in solid or liquid media, transported in sterile containers;
(c)cut flowers of artificially propagated plants;
(d)fruits, and parts and derivatives thereof, of naturalized or artificially propagated plants of the genus Vanilla (Orchidaceae) and of the family Cactaceae;
(e)stems, flowers, and parts and derivatives thereof, of naturalized or artificially propagated plants of the genera Opuntia subgenus Opuntia and Selenicereus (Cactaceae); and
(f)finished products of Aloe ferox and Euphorbia antisyphilitica packaged and ready for retail trade.
