(Amendment) Rules 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles and Personal Mobility Devices) (Enforcement) (Amendment) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 28 August 2020.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles and Personal Mobility Devices) (Enforcement) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 248/2018) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “section 95B(2)(b)” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “section 95B(1)(ba)”;
(b)	by deleting the words “or a non‑compliant personal mobility device” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “, a non‑compliant personal mobility device or a non‑compliant mobility vehicle”; and
(c)	by deleting the words “or non‑compliant personal mobility device” in paragraph (2)(a) and (b) and substituting in each case the words “, non‑compliant personal mobility device or non‑compliant mobility vehicle”.
