Road Traffic
(Driver Improvement Points System)
(Amendment) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 45(2) and 47F(3) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Driver Improvement Points System) (Amendment) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 1 November 2019.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Road Traffic (Driver Improvement Points System) Rules (R 25) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item (25) and substituting the following item:

“

(25)	Driving without due care or reasonable consideration (where hurt is caused)

[Section 65(4) of the Act]

”;

(b)

by deleting item (27) and substituting the following item:

“

(27)	Driving without due care or reasonable consideration (where no hurt is caused)

[Section 65(5) of the Act]

”; and

(c)

by deleting item (30) and substituting the following items:

“

(30)	Reckless or dangerous driving (where hurt is caused)

[Section 64(2B) of the Act]

(30A)

Reckless or dangerous driving (where no hurt is caused)

[Section 64(2C) of the Act]

”.
