(Amendment) By-laws 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Chua Chu Kang makes the following By‑laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By‑laws are the Town Council of Chua Chu Kang (Common Property and Open Spaces) (Amendment) By‑laws 2016 and come into operation on 1 January 2017.

New by-law 3A

2. The Town Council of Chua Chu Kang (Common Property and Open Spaces) By‑laws 2011 (G.N. No. S 753/2011) is amended by inserting, immediately after by‑law 3, the following by‑law:

“Littering on common property and open spaces, etc.

3A.—(1) A person must not throw or deposit, or cause or permit to be thrown or deposited, any dust, dirt, ash, refuse, rubbish or other matter or thing into or onto any common property or open space other than in a refuse chute, dustbin, or refuse or litter container or receptacle designated for that purpose.

(2) If an animal defecates on any common property or in an open space, the person who owns or is responsible for the control of the animal must immediately remove the faeces and dispose of the faeces in a lawful and suitable manner.”.
