Active Mobility
(Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 67 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Active Mobility (Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 5 November 2019.

New regulation 4AA

2. The Active Mobility Regulations 2018 (G.N. No. S 251/2018) are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 4, the following regulation:

“PMD banned for footpaths

4AA.—(1) For the purposes of section 18(1)(b) of the Act, a personal mobility device that —

(a)	has handlebars; and
(b)	has an electric motor attached to the device,

is banned for use on all footpaths generally.

(2) To avoid doubt, a personal mobility device that meets the description in paragraph (1) is banned for use on all footpaths generally, whether or not it has any seat.”.
