(Amendment) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 14(8) of the First Schedule to the Casino Control Act, the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Casino Control (Proceedings of Authority) (Amendment) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 15 November 2019.

Deletion of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Casino Control (Proceedings of Authority) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 330/2008) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) is deleted.

Deletion of rules 3 and 4 and substitution of rule 3

3. Rules 3 and 4 of the principal Rules are deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“Time limit for decision‑making without meeting

3. The Chairman may specify the time by which the members of the Authority have to sign or approve in writing a document containing a resolution.”.

Amendment of rule 5

4. Rule 5 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(b)	in a case where the decision is to be passed in the manner described in section 31 of the Public Sector (Governance) Act 2018 (Act 5 of 2018) — the time specified by the Chairman under rule 3 ends before the resolution is passed.”.

Deletion of rule 6

5. Rule 6 of the principal Rules is deleted.
