Private Security Industry
(Private Investigation and Security Agencies)
(Amendment) Regulations 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 of the Private Security Industry Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Private Security Industry (Private Investigation and Security Agencies) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 January 2018.
Amendment of regulation 23
2.  Regulation 23 of the Private Security Industry (Private Investigation and Security Agencies) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 167/2009) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph (2); and
(b)by deleting the definition of “Auxiliary Police Force” in paragraph (3).
Amendment of regulation 25
3.  Regulation 25 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “12 months” and substituting the words “2 years”.
Amendment of regulation 26
4.  Regulation 26(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “12 months” and substituting the words “2 years”.
Amendment of regulation 27
5.  Regulation 27 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “or (2)” in paragraph (a); and
(b)by deleting the words “12 months” and substituting the words “2 years”.
