Hotels Licensing
(Amendment) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Hotels Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Hotels Licensing (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 December 2019.

Amendment of regulation 9

2. Regulation 9 of the Hotels Licensing Regulations (Rg 1) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a)	submit an advertisement of the application in the form provided by the Board for the advertisement to be published on the website of the Board at https://www.hlb.gov.sg;”; and

(b)

by deleting the marginal note and inserting the following regulation heading:

“Advertisement of applications, etc.”.

Deletion of regulation 10

3. Regulation 10 of the principal Regulations is deleted.

Amendment of regulation 23

4. Regulation 23 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by inserting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (a);

(b)

by deleting the word “; and” at the end of paragraph (b) and substituting a full‑stop;

(c)

by deleting paragraph (c); and

(d)

by deleting the marginal note and inserting the following regulation heading:

“Display of certificate of registration and licence”.
