Government Procurement (Application)
(Amendment) Order 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Government Procurement Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Government Procurement (Application) (Amendment) Order 2013 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2014.

Amendment of paragraph 4

2. Paragraph 4 of the Government Procurement (Application) Order (O 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(2) A procurement —

(a)

by a contracting authority set out in Part I of the Second Schedule of —

(i)	goods;
(ii)	one or more applicable services; or
(iii)	a combination of goods and one or more applicable services; or

(b)

by a contracting authority set out in Part III of the Second Schedule of any of the goods set out in the Fifth Schedule,

is a procurement subject to the Act in relation to the United States of America if the value of the contract in relation to the procurement is equal to or exceeds $135,855.”;

(b)

by deleting “$820,560” in sub‑paragraph (2A) and substituting “$767,480”;

(c)

by deleting “$10,257,000” in sub‑paragraph (2B) and substituting “$9,593,500”; and

(d)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (4).
