Infectious Diseases (Quarantine)
(Amendment) Regulations 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Infectious Diseases (Quarantine) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.

Amendment of Sixth Schedule

2. The Sixth Schedule to the Infectious Diseases (Quarantine) Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting “28(8)” in the Schedule reference and substituting “28A(7)”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph 1 and substituting the following paragraph:

“

1. For an inspection of vessel and the issue of a ship sanitation control certificate or ship sanitation control exemption certificate in the Form E set out in the Fifth Schedule:

(a)	for a vessel not exceeding 75 gross tonnes

$215

(b)	for a vessel exceeding 75 gross tonnes

$245

”;

(c)

by deleting the words “paragraph 1(1) or (2)” in paragraph 7(1) and substituting the words “paragraph 1”;

(d)

by deleting the words “or a duplicate thereof” in paragraph 7(2); and

(e)

by deleting sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph 7.
