Customs (Duties)
(Amendment) Order 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Customs (Duties) (Amendment) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 20 September 2020.

Amendment of paragraph 4

2. Paragraph 4(5) of the Customs (Duties) Order (O 4) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of sub‑paragraph (b)(ii)(A);

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraph (B) of sub‑paragraph (b)(ii) and substituting the following sub‑paragraphs:

“(B)

a declaration issued before 20 September 2020 by a certified exporter authorised by the Government authorities of the exporting country, if the exporting country is a Participating Member State of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of the Participating Member States of the Association of South‑East Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the Pilot Project for the Implementation of a Regional Self‑Certification System; or

(C)

a declaration issued on or after 20 September 2020 by a certified exporter authorised by the Government authorities of the exporting country in accordance with Annex 8 of the ATIGA;”;

(c)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of sub‑paragraph (i)(i)(B)(BA); and

(d)

by deleting sub-paragraph (BB) of sub‑paragraph (i)(i)(B) and substituting the following sub‑paragraphs:

“(BB)	a declaration issued before 20 September 2020 by a certified exporter authorised by the Government authorities of Brunei Darussalam under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of the Participating Member States of the Association of South‑East Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the Pilot Project for the Implementation of a Regional Self‑Certification System; or
(BC)	a declaration issued on or after 20 September 2020 by a certified exporter authorised by the Government authorities of Brunei Darussalam in accordance with Annex 8 of the ATIGA;”.
