Banking (Amendment) Act 2020
(Commencement) Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Banking (Amendment) Act 2020, the Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who is charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Prime Minister as regards the Banking Act (Cap. 19), makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification is the Banking (Amendment) Act 2020 (Commencement) Notification 2020.

2. The Banking (Amendment) Act 2020, except sections 2, 3, 5, 11, 13 to 17, 19, 20, 21, 24, 26 to 32, 33(b) and (d), 34 to 43, 44(a), (b) and (d) and 45 to 68, comes into operation on 1 October 2020.
