Professional Engineers
(Approved Qualifications) (Amendment)
Notification 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(1)(a) of the Professional Engineers Act, the Minister for National Development, after consultation with the Professional Engineers Board, hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) (Amendment) Notification 2013 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2014.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) Notification 2009 (G.N. No. S 653/2009) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended by deleting the words “, as part of a student exchange programme,” in paragraph (a) of the definition of “on‑campus study”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3(2) of the principal Notification is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “a chartered” wherever they appear in sub‑paragraph (d)(ii) and (iii)(B), the words “or professional”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting the region “HONG KONG” and the entries relating thereto in Division I of Part IV;

(b)

by deleting the region “HONG KONG” and the entries relating thereto in Division II of Part IV;

(c)

by inserting, immediately before the country “UNITED KINGDOM” in Division I of Part V, the following country and entries:
