Internationally Protected Persons Act
(Amendment of First and Second Schedules)
Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Internationally Protected Persons Act, the Minister for Foreign Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Internationally Protected Persons Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Order 2021 and comes into operation on 3 November 2021.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Internationally Protected Persons Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after item 13, the following item:

“

13A.	Section 342

Wrongful confinement

”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “Section 343” in the first column of item 14, the words “(as in force before 1 January 2020)”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the words “Section 344” in the first column of item 15, the words “(as in force before 1 January 2020)”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after the words “Section 364A” in the first column of item 25, the words “(as in force before 21 November 2010)”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Internationally Protected Persons Act is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “Mischief causing damage of $500 or above” in the second column of item 4 and substituting the words “Mischief causing disruption to key service, etc.”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the words “Section 430A” in the first column of item 5, the words “(as in force before 1 January 2020)”.
