Criminal Procedure
(Amendment No. 3) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 428A(15) of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Criminal Procedure (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 1 January 2020.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Form 42 of the Schedule to the Criminal Procedure Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 727/2018) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (1) under the heading “(II) CHARGES WITH TWO OR MORE HEADS” and substituting the following paragraph:

“(1) First.—That you, on or about the day of 20 , at , knowing a currency to be counterfeit, delivered the currency to another person, by name A. B., and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 489B of the Penal Code.

Secondly.—That you, on or about the day of 20 , at , knowing a currency to be counterfeit, sold it to another person, by name A. B., and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 489B of the Penal Code.”; and

(b)

by deleting the heading “(III) CHARGE FOR THEFT AFTER A PREVIOUS CONVICTION” and the paragraphs under that heading.
