(Prescribed Offences for
Mandatory Treatment Orders)
(Amendment) Regulations 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 428 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Minister for Law makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Criminal Procedure Code (Prescribed Offences for Mandatory Treatment Orders) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 January 2020.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Prescribed Offences for Mandatory Treatment Orders) Regulations 2018 (G.N. No. S 747/2018) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “494 or 496” in paragraph (b) and substituting the words “494 (as in force before 1 January 2020) or 496 (as in force before 1 January 2020)”;
(b)by deleting the words “woman mentioned in that section is quick with child.” in paragraph (d) and substituting the words “woman’s pregnancy is of more than 16 weeks’ duration as mentioned in that section;”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (d), the following paragraph:
(e)an offence under section 6A(b) or 6C of the Women’s Charter (Cap. 353).”.
