Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Port)
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Port) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 26 December 2018.

Amendment of regulation 45

2. Regulation 45(3) of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Port) Regulations (Rg 7) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (a);

(b)

by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (a), the following sub-paragraph:

“(aa)

which anchors within the prohibited anchorage area specified in paragraph 1.2 of the Third Schedule; or”;

(c)

by deleting “$5,000” and substituting “$20,000”; and

(d)

by deleting “$1,000” and substituting “$2,000”.

Amendment of Third Schedule

3. Paragraph 1.2 of the Third Schedule to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Port) Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Except for the anchorages defined in the Second Schedule, anchoring is prohibited within an area bounded by the mainland coast and a line joining the following geographical positions (position in WGS84)” and substituting the words “The prohibited anchorage area is the area bounded by the mainland coast and a line joining the following geographical positions (position in WGS84), excluding the anchorages defined in the Second Schedule”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the following coordinates:

“01°12.906'N

103°36.072'E”,

the following coordinates:

“01°13.284'N

103°34.452'E

01°13.814'N

103°34.607'E

01°15.146'N

103°34.849'E”.
