(Transitional Provisions)
Regulations 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 26 of the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Act 2019, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Act 2019 (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 January 2020.
Application for refund under section 71 of Act
2.  Where the Board has, before 1 January 2020, received a claim or application for a refund or payment under any of the following provisions of the Central Provident Fund Act (Cap. 36) (as in force before that date), the claim or application is taken to be an application submitted to the Board for a refund or payment under section 71 of the Act in relation to the prescribed payment mentioned in the corresponding regulation of the Central Provident Fund (Refunds) Regulations 2019 (G.N. No. S 882/2019) as follows:
(a)section 72 of that Act — regulation 3(b) of those Regulations;
(b)section 74 of that Act — regulation 3(a) of those Regulations;
(c)section 75 of that Act — regulation 3(c) of those Regulations;
(d)section 75A or 75C of that Act — regulation 3(e) of those Regulations;
(e)section 75B or 75D(2) of that Act — regulation 3(i) of those Regulations;
(f)section 75D(3) of that Act — regulation 3(k) of those Regulations.
