(Competency Tests)
(Amendment) Rules 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Road Traffic (Competency Tests) (Amendment) Rules 2024 and are deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 2024.
Amendment of rule 6
2.  In the Road Traffic (Competency Tests) Rules 2021 (G.N. No. S 432/2021), in rule 6, replace paragraph (3) with —
“(3)  An account opened under paragraph (2) for a registered individual entitles the individual to sit for one prescribed test of competence for a road‑only PAB.”.
Replacement of rule 7
3.  In the Road Traffic (Competency Tests) Rules 2021, replace rule 7 with —
“Test fee
7.  A registration under rule 6(1) to sit for a prescribed test of competence for a road‑only PAB must be accompanied by a non‑refundable test fee of $5.45 for each registration to sit for the prescribed test of competence.”.
