Road Traffic (Teck Ghee Emergency
Preparedness Day 2017) (Exemption) Order 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Road Traffic (Teck Ghee Emergency Preparedness Day 2017) (Exemption) Order 2017.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“specified footway” means the footway of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 that is shaded in the map set out in the Schedule;

“specified vehicle” means a motor vehicle that is owned by the Government for the purposes or use of the Singapore Police Force or the Singapore Civil Defence Force;

“Teck Ghee Emergency Preparedness Day 2017” means the event known as the Teck Ghee Emergency Preparedness Day 2017 that is organised by the Teck Ghee Constituency Office of the People’s Association, and to be held at Teck Ghee Square on 19 March 2017.

Exemption

3. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20) does not apply to the driving, parking or riding of any specified vehicle on the specified footway on 19 March 2017, for the purpose of the Teck Ghee Emergency Preparedness Day 2017.
