(Restriction of Speed on Roads)
(Amendment No. 3) Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) (Amendment No. 3) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 30 November 2020.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) Notification (N 6) is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (3) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(3) The speed of all motor vehicles travelling along any road in a silver zone must not exceed the speed of —

(a)	30 kilometres per hour if the traffic sign set out in diagram 12C in Part I of the Schedule to the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules is used to indicate the beginning of the silver zone; or
(b)	40 kilometres per hour if the traffic sign set out in diagram 12B in Part I of the Schedule to the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules is used to indicate the beginning of the silver zone.”.
