Public Utilities (Water Supply) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 72 of the Public Utilities Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Water Supply) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2005.

Amendment of regulation 36

2. Regulation 36 of the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations (Rg 5) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting paragraphs (11) and (12).

Amendment of regulation 38

3. Regulation 38 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting paragraph (3); and
(b)	by deleting the words “either on a subsequent visit to the premises or at the request of the consumer under paragraph (3), whichever is the earlier” in paragraph (4).

Amendment of regulation 44

4. Regulation 44 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting paragraph (3); and
(b)	by deleting the words “and the provision of any meter” in paragraph (4).

Amendment of Second Schedule

5. The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting paragraphs (4), (6) and (8) of item 1; and
(b)	by deleting the words “item 1(3) to (8)” in item 2 and substituting the words “item 1 (3), (5) and (7)”.
