(Exemption) (Amendment)
Order 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Private Education Act 2009, the Minister for Education makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order is the Private Education (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2022 and, except for paragraph 4, comes into operation on 19 December 2022.

(2) Paragraph 4 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of paragraph 3

2. In paragraph 3 of the Private Education (Exemption) Order 2013 (G.N. No. S 136/2013) (called in this Order the principal Order) —

(a)	delete sub‑paragraph (2); and
(b)	in sub‑paragraph (3), delete “or (2)”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. In the Schedule to the principal Order —

(a)	in the Schedule reference, delete “and (2)”; and
(b)	delete Part II.

Miscellaneous amendments

4. In the principal Order —

(a)	in paragraph 3(1), replace “section 37(1)(a)” with “section 10(1)(a)”;
(b)	in paragraph 4(1), replace “section 43(1)” with “section 16(1)”; and
(c)	in paragraph 5(1), replace “section 44(1)(b) and (c)” with “section 17(1)(b) and (c)”.
