Consideration by Council for restoration
8.—(1)  On receipt of an application referred to in regulation 7, the Registrar shall refer the application to the Council for consideration.
(2)  Except with the leave of the Council, the applicant shall not appear before the Council on the consideration of the application.
(3)  The Council shall consider the application in private and may, if it thinks fit, adjourn the consideration to a future date.
(4)  If the Council —
(a)directs the restoration of the applicant’s name to the register under section 27(1)(a) of the Act; or
(b)registers the applicant as an allied health professional with restricted, conditional or temporary registration under section 27(1)(b) of the Act,
the Registrar shall send notice thereof to the authorities or persons, if any, to whom he has previously given notice of removal.
