(Excluded Vehicle)
Order 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definition of “personal mobility device” or “PMD” in section 2(1) of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Active Mobility (Excluded Vehicle) Order 2018 and comes into operation on 28 August 2018.

Definition

2. In this Order, “e‑trishaw” means a three‑wheeled pedal cycle that —

(a)	is constructed or adapted for the carriage of passengers;
(b)	is equipped with an electric motor; and
(c)	may be propelled by human power or by the electric motor with which it is equipped, or by both.

Excluded vehicle

3. An e‑trishaw is excluded from the definition of “personal mobility device” or “PMD” in section 2(1) of the Act.
