Milled and bearing the words “MONETARY AUTHORITY OF SINGAPORE” and lion symbol.
The Singapore Arms in the centre with the yeardate “2004” below it and the word “SINGAPORE” in the 4 official languages around the circumference of the coin. The position of the mintmark is at 5 o’clock for the $10 gold and $10 silver coins.
The main feature of the coin is the “Harmony” sculpture at the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (CS-SIP) that was jointly unveiled by SM Lee Kuan Yew and China’s Vice-Premier Li Lanqing in 2001 to symbolise the close bilateral relations. The “Harmony” sculpture resembling the figure “8”, symbolises “prosperity” and “abundance” for CS-SIP and its tenants.
