11.—(1) A sporting event organiser for a sporting event to which this Part applies must take all reasonably practicable measures —
(a)
to ensure no audience participation during the crowd management period of the sporting event;
(b)
to comply with the participant cohorting requirement in regulation 5(4)(b) during the crowd management period of the sporting event and with respect to the sports venue where the sporting event takes place or is to take place; and
(c)
to minimise any physical interaction during the crowd management period of the sporting event, between any individual participating in the sporting activity played or conducted at the sporting event and any non‑participant within the sports venue where the sporting event takes place or is to take place.
(2) In addition, a sporting event organiser for a sporting event to which this Part applies must take all reasonably practicable measures to ensure that at all times during the crowd management period of the sporting event —
(a)
every individual participating in the sporting activity played or conducted at the sporting event and non‑participant in the sports venue is wearing a mask if the individual or non‑participant (as the case may be) is not authorised under any Control Order to not wear a mask or he or she does not have a reasonable excuse to be unmasked; and
(b)
the number of individuals who are unmasked in the sports venue where the sporting event is taking place does not exceed the maximum number permissible under the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Performances and Other Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2020 if those Regulations apply to elements present during the sporting event.
