Control of Plants (Authorised Analysts) Rules 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 46 of the Control of Plants Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Control of Plants (Authorised Analysts) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 8th January 1999.

Prescribed qualification

2. For the purposes of section 3(2) of the Act, the prescribed qualification of an authorised analyst is tertiary qualification in biology, microbiology, chemistry, toxicology, biotechnology, food technology, food science, nutrition, horticulture, veterinary medicine or such other science as may be approved by the Minister.
