Fire Safety
(Supplementary Enforcement Officers)
Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Fire Safety Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Fire Safety (Supplementary Enforcement Officers) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 14 September 2020.
Prescribed offences
2.  An offence under any of the following provisions of the Act is prescribed for the purposes of section 8F(1)(c) of the Act relating to supplementary enforcement officers:
(a)section 12A(1) or (2) of the Act, in relation to —
(i)an obstruction of an escape route, a passageway or an exit door; or
(ii)any fire safety measure not being in proper working order;
(b)section 24(2) of the Act, in relation to fire safety works that only involve the erection of awnings at the external façade of a building;
(c)section 30(5) of the Act, in relation to —
(i)a change of use of any premises from residential use to dormitory use;
(ii)a change of use of any part of any premises that is not within a building; or
(iii)a change of use of any part of any premises within a building, that is designated as a place to park a vehicle.
