24.—(1) A licensee must ensure that a patient who has been administered any anaesthetic is discharged only after she has been assessed by a fully registered medical practitioner who is the licensee’s personnel to be fit for discharge.

(2) Without limiting paragraph (1), the licensee must ensure that —
(a)

(c)
a patient is discharged from the licensee’s care in accordance with the licensee’s policy on when a patient can be discharged after anaesthesia or sedation; and
(d)
a patient is not asked to leave the approved permanent premises before the patient is assessed to be fit for discharge.
(3) In this regulation, a “fully registered medical practitioner” means a medical practitioner who is registered under section 20(1) or (2) of the Medical Registration Act 1997 as a fully registered medical practitioner and holds a valid practising certificate under that Act.
