Immigration (Composition of Offences) Notification 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 59 of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Immigration (Composition of Offences) Notification 1998 and shall come into operation on 15th June 1998.

Composition of offences

2.—(1) The offences set out in Part I of the Schedule may be compounded by all immigration officers above the rank of Senior Inspector of Immigration (Special Grade).

(2) The offence set out in Part II of the Schedule may be compounded by all immigration officers of the rank of Inspector of Immigration, Senior Inspector of Immigration or Senior Inspector of Immigration (Special Grade).

Cancellation

3. Notification No. N4 and Gazette Notification No.S233/87 are cancelled.
