Interpretation (Delegation of Powers —
Ministry of Finance) Notification 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Finance, with the approval of the President, makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Interpretation (Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Finance) Notification 2019 and comes into operation on 1 April 2019.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “Accounting Officer” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the Financial Regulations (Cap. 109, Rg 1).

Delegation of power

3. The Minister for Finance deputes any Accounting Officer of a Ministry or Organ of State to exercise the power of the Minister under section 9 of the Financial Procedure Act (Cap. 109) so far as the power relates to that Ministry or Organ of State.
