Quarantine message
3.—(1)  The master, owner or agent of any vessel approaching any port or other area in Singapore shall, if any person on board has signs or symptoms which may be indicative of any infectious disease or if there are any circumstances requiring the attention of a Port Health Officer, notify a Port Health Officer either directly or through an agent by a wireless message, or cable, giving the information required under the First Schedule.
(2)  Any wireless message so required to be sent shall reach a Port Health Officer not more than 24 and not less than 12 hours before the time at which the vessel is expected to arrive in the port or other area.
(3)  The cost of sending messages under this regulation shall be borne by the master, owner or agent of the vessel.
