Registry of pleasure craft
17.—(1)  The Registrar shall keep a register of pleasure craft in accordance with the provisions of this Part.
(2)  An application for the registry of a pleasure craft shall be made in the prescribed form by the person to be registered as owner or by some other person duly authorised to make the application on his behalf.
(3)  On receiving the application, the Registrar may —
(a)if he is satisfied that the craft may be registered as a pleasure craft and that the name of the ship does not appear to him to be undesirable; and
(b)upon the applicant making payment of the prescribed fee,
register the pleasure craft in the register of pleasure craft and issue a certificate of registry (pleasure craft) to the applicant.
(4)  A pleasure craft registered under this Part shall not be registered under Part II of the Act or in any country outside Singapore.
