Enrolment as a cadet
4.—(1)  Any student of a school who is —
(a)of the age of 12 years or above; or
(b)in a Secondary One Class or its equivalent,
and fulfils the requirements of section 8 of the Act may be enrolled as a cadet in any School Unit.
(2)  A person who desires to be enrolled as a cadet under this regulation shall —
(a)make an application to the principal of his school on such form as the Commandant may direct; and
(b)submit the written consent of his parent or lawful guardian to his enrolment as a cadet.
(3)  A person shall be enrolled as a cadet under this regulation for the duration of the period for which he is a student of the school in which his Unit is located.
(4)  Where a cadet ceases to be a student in the school in which he was enrolled as a cadet and subsequently becomes a student in another school, he may apply to the Commandant for permission to continue to be a cadet in the Unit of the other school.
(5)  A student who is enrolled as a cadet shall serve in the Unit located at the school to which he belongs except that he may be transferred at any time by the Commandant to an Open Unit or from an Open Unit to a School Unit.
(6)  A student shall cease to be a cadet on his leaving school.
